I want...arms like cameron diaz!
November 18, 2009. Wednesday

so at work the other day we were watching the freakin halarious movie What Happens in Vegas with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, when suddenly it hit me--right at the scene when they have the whore party at Ashton's place trying to get him to sleep with one of them to ruin the marriage...when both of them are in the bathroom holding beer cans, I suddenly thought to myself:

"OMFG! Look at Camerons arms, they are so god damn sexy! I WANT TO LOOK JUST LIKE THAT!"

I couldnt find a photo of that exact moment, but I did find this one that shows you what I'm talking about:

Do you see? Do you see!? Is that not just the most attractive thing you've ever seen? No? Well to hell with you then  . I just, I dunno...I find it really sexy, and strong too, to have that kind of muscle defenition. Feminine but assertive. I started doing some serious weight lifting today to begin my quest to attain that gorgeous line in my shoulders (after which i bawled like a two year old cause i was so sore  )

Oh, on a side note Im trying my hardest to stick with my cardio and weight lifting routine that i blogged at the end of october. the weight lifting part is easy, but its been hard for me to get off my ass and GO. Once im at the fitness center its easy to stick to it, its simply getting off my butt to go there thats the problem  . But, Im not giving up. Its going to take a while for me to get used to going a few times a week, and I forgive myself for adapting to it sloooowly, but I'll get there, I know I will

Transform My Body...Super Sexy Curves!
October 22, 2009. Thursday
I aim for absolute simplicity when it comes to commiting to workouts, I'm a busy girl with not very much time (or money!) and I need to be able to workout in the comfort of my own home wherever the hell I feel like it... thats why I loooove this new workout from Self this month: "sculpt the sexiest curves" ....all that is required is a pair of 5 - 10 pound weights! This video is awesome, check it out...:

Ive sampled most of these moves and wow...so simple, but seriously effective. the last move "bringing up the rear" can even be done without the resistance band and still works, I would probably just increase your reps 5 to 10 more on each side.

Im also trying hard to commit to some cardio work to shed some of that squishy stuff. However, 60+ minutes is not gonna fly on my schedule, how about you? What I'm going to do is some 20 minute intervals 2-3 times a week. What that is is simply switching up the intensity of your workout so you burn more fat/calories in less time. Just hop on a treadmill, bike, eliptical...alternate between medium paced work and high paced work. Medium being fast enough to get your heart pumping, and High being as fast as your able to go. (on a scale of 1 to 10...1 being walking at a leaisurly pace, and 10 being running from a lion trying to eat you....medium pace should be a 4-5, and high pace being 7-8.) Alternate between the two every thirty seconds for the first 5 minutes. Then for the next 10 minutes alternate every one minute. For the last 5 minutes of the workout go back down to every 30 seconds.

Its been proven that intervals can burn almost twice as much fat in that same 20 minutes then just doing one steady pace the whole time!

Im officially marking my calandar to commit to this regimin starting November 1st! Anyone else interested in starting with me? Or have any questions about the workout? Post a comment love

xoxo,
Danielle
